Broken Chapters

As I shrugged my feet and walked through the lonely path, I felt confused and empty.
I wondered…

The world is unsafe
Unsafe for our dreams
Our homes are heavy
Heavy with toxicity

Watching billions of people expire from the earth
Sheltered me, our families and the world with shock
Fear and grief engulfed the high and low
Tears rolled like a river

The world paused for approximately

440,640 minutes

COVID-19 broke us,
Psychologically,
Emotionally,
Physically
& Mentally.

It was then I realized…
That togetherness is never given
It is taken and planned

Until all races UNITE,
and stand together
DIVIDED,

we will continue to fall
